SERVICES · #01–#14
This site covers kitchen renovations in Brighton, Victoria. The schedule starts with the kitchen work itself: the on-site assessment, the written quotation, layout and cabinetry, surface preparation and how licensed trades are involved. After that come the related capabilities that support it. You deal directly with Ivan Bodnar, an independent sole trader with approximately 15 years’ personal renovation experience.

KITCHEN · #01–#06
The six pages below each cover one part of that process. Read the ones that match your kitchen. You don’t need to work through them in order.
Practical renovations for existing kitchens, covering layout, cabinetry, finishes and services. Common starting points include poor storage, damaged surfaces, an awkward layout, surfaces that are hard to clean and ageing fittings.
A free inspection of the kitchen’s condition, layout and service access before any scope is proposed. No inspection can reveal every concealed issue, so the assessment records what is visible and notes what may need checking once work begins.
A free written quotation, prepared after the assessment and never before it. It sets out the proposed scope. Contract, insurance and approvals wording is checked separately for each project.
Can you keep the layout? Can the cabinets be reused? Sometimes. It depends on the condition of the carcasses, how much bench space and storage you need, and what is behind them. Ivan explains the options rather than assuming them.
Putting in new finishes before checking moisture, substrate, service access and underlying damage can lead to work that has to be redone. Preparation is included in the scope from the start, not added later, and materials are chosen to suit what they will sit on.
#06
Licensed plumbing and electrical work is carried out by appropriately authorised specialists. Ivan is an independent sole trader and does not personally claim unverified trade licences or builder registration. Structural engineering, architecture and asbestos removal are outside his scope.
